When you book your Reel Stories video we will schedule a time to consult with you by telephone or come to your home or office. At that time we will help you select topics that will become the chapters of your story, such as childhood, college life, military, career, courtship and marriage, family, community involvement, travel or life lessons.
The Interview
Our caring interviewer will guide you through the process, with your comfort and well being always our most important concern. If you are like most people, you'll forget about the camera and engage in the friendly conversation. Most importantly, just be yourself and the stories will come out naturally. Interviews are scheduled in 1 hour increments so you may choose the scope of your story recordings.
The Magic Begins
Once the interview is complete we will take the footage back to our studio to begin the editing process. This is where the real magic happens! Photographs, home movies, and music can be added to help tell your story in a compelling way. Captions can be added to name people or places, and narration can be used to weave the elements of your story together. Footage of world events, such as WWII or Ellis Island, give your video the look and feel of a documentary film.
